Polaroid's Zip will have you printing out your smartphone photos on the go
[MUSIC]
You might not always want prints of photos shot with your smart phone, but when you do, here's how to get them in under a minute.
I'm Josh Goldman with CNet and this is Polaroid's Zip mobile printer.
For about $130, you get this simple little box that you connect to your phone or tablet over bluetooth.
You pop open the Zip app, pick a photo from your gallery or take a fresh one.
Edit it up with some frames or stamps or filters.
And hit print.
And out come these two by three inch borderless prints.
There's no ink, ribbon or toner but instead, the zip uses Polaroid zink zero ink paper, which has layers of colorless crystals in it that develop color as the printer heats them.
Just drop a pack of ten sheets in the top and you're done.
If you buy paper packs in bulk, the price per print is about twenty five cents.
And they're stickers too.
And the quality is okay, considering it's a battery powered printer that fits in your pocket.
You could read the full review on CNet dot com but basically this is a cool little option if you or someone you know wants to print out pictures from your phone on the spot.
I'm Josh Goldman, and that's a quick look at the Polaroid Zip.
