First Look: Nokia 6555 (AT&T)

1:20 /

The Nokia 6555 combines eye-catching design, a generous feature set, and admirable call quality into one satisfying device.

[ Music ] ^M00:00:02 >> Hi, I'm Kent German, senior editor here at CNET.com. Today, we're going to take a first look at the Nokia 6555, this is a new phone for the AT & T service. This phone may look a little ordinary in a flip design, but actually, it is kind of unique. The dimensions means that it is a little thin, and it's a little narrow, not as much as a Razor of course. External display is quite large, very colorful 262 thousand colors, so it makes it bright and vibrant and you see a lot [inaudible] works as a viewfinder for the camera, which is right here. No flash on this model, which is okay, but would like it for dim situations. On the side, this is the volume rocker. Typically, they place the volume rocker on the rear face on a flip phone, so when you open it up, that means it just switches positions. It's easy to get the hang of it after a few minutes. So you just want to keep that in mind. Inside, you have a really nice internal display, very bright and colorful, vibrant, really liked it. Navigation buttons are well designed, you have a four-way toggle with an okay button in the middle, a couple of soft keys, dedicated button for the web browser, dedicated button for Cingular video. They key pad buttons, they're also flat with the surface of the phone, but they are slightly indented on the top of each row. Over all, pretty good call quality, and I just like the design and assortment of features. I'm Kent German and this has been the Nokia 6555. ^M00:01:07 [ Music ]
