A few small but useful changes to how the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 handles multitasking makes this sometimes overlooked feature a lot more easy and handy to use.
I'm Jessica Dolcourt for CNET here to get you splitting your screen between two apps.
A new shrinky **** trick lets you grab a corner of the app with your finger or the [UNKNOWN] pen and drag to minimize it down.
It will work for apps like the calendar or the browser and the camera so you can use them while also doing other things.
You can even reduce them down to a persistent floating icon that sticks with you until you want to use it again.
Note that this will not work for every single app.
Split screen mode is back, letting you open two supported apps at a time and resizing the windows.
Now though, you're able to drag pictures and text between the two, just be aware of that.
Again, app support is still a little bit limited.
One of the smarter new multi-tasking features was to launch split screen mode from the recent apps tab.
the icon of two boxes stacked on top of each other tells you if an app will work.
Even better, the Note four supplies you with an easy grid for finding that other app to open.
You can start split screen at any time by first turning on multi window in the settings and then pressing and holding the back arrow to pull up your list of compatible apps.
