First Look: Kyocera Laylo 1400

1:11 /

The Kyocera Laylo is great choice for an entry-level camera phone for MetroPCS.

[ Music ] >> I'm Nicole Lee, associate editor for cnet.com and this is a First Look at the Kyocera Laylo from Metro PCS. It is a pretty simple entry level camera phone. On the front here is a nice 2.4 inch color display here. Underneath that you do get the typical navigation controls, the two soft keys, the dedicated speaker phone key, the dedicated back key as well as the square toggle. You also get the Send and End power keys on the bottom here. On this other side you do get the volume rocker as well as the camera button. On the other side you do get the charger jack and on the back is the VGA camera lens. When you slide the phone open on the back there's also a vanity self-portrait mirror. Slide the phone open you'll also reveal a full number keypad right here, very large and roomy as you can see. The keys are all raised above the surface so you can dial and text by feel. Features of the phone are pretty basic as we said you do get a low end VGA camera, you also get text and multimedia messaging, Bluetooth and GPS but that's about it. The Kyocera Laylo is available right now for around $60 from Metro PCS without a contract. I'm Nicole Lee and this has been a First Look at the Kyocera Laylo.
