Now Green Plug is actually the name of the company, and what they manufacture is a chip that talks to other consumer electronic devices. So essentially, you know, you think about when you packed for CES, I packed you know, a laptop, a cell phone, you know, all these different devices and all of their attendant chargers. Green Plug is seeking to consolidate all of that power charging in a single charging device, like this base which is an example. So you see here that we have a power adapter port. So you plug this into your wall, and then you can have anywhere from three to ten USB ports that you plug your various devices into. Now when you plug your device in, for example like this laptop, I have a USB lamp, and I have a little headset here. All of them are plugged in via USB into this box. And they're all charging at different voltage. And what the Green Plug technology does is it recognizes the device, and recognizes how much power it requires to be charged. And once it's been fully charged, it completely turns off, so you have no trouble with the device charging, still drawing phantom power. So really the advantage of these technologies, and your various consumer electronic devices is that you can carry this one little hub, or have this one little hub at home, and use it to charge all of your gadgets over USB, as long as the gadgets themselves are including the Green Plug technology. So that's an overview of the new emerging power technology from Green Plug. [ background music ] I'm Michelle Thatcher at CES 2008. ^M00:01:49 [ music ]
