Essential Phone heads to Sprint
The Essential Phone is heading to Sprint.
According to a report from USA Today, Andy Rubin's Essential Phone would be a Sprint exclusive in the US.
That means if you want to get your hands on the Essential Phone to test it out before you buy it, you'll be able to do that at Sprint stores.
There's no information on how long this exclusive.
Exclusive arrangement will last.
However, Essential will continue to sell its phone on its own site unlocked.
The phone should work on any of the major U. S. wireless networks, not just Sprint.
The Essential phone also known as the PH1 turn heads when it was revealed at the end of May.
The phone runs Android and features a 5.7 inch screen which dominates the front of the device except for a little cut out for a front facing camera.
And a thin chin bezel.
On the back are magnetic connectors for modular accessories like a 360 degree camera.
Even with the Sprint deal, there will be no branding of any kind on the device.
Sprint says it will make Make the Essential Phone very prominent in its stores.
But has not disclosed its own pricing.
The Essential Phone costs $699 on Essential's site.
