I'm here at Comic-Con 2013 by myself, but nevertheless, I'm gonna check out some of these cosplayers.
If you remember last year, we interviewed dozens of people who waste all kinds of time getting dressed
for the big show.
So let's go interview some of these dedicated folk and see what's going on as we enter the show floor of Comic-Con 2013.
So, how's it going?
-You know, Comic-Con has been going pretty good.
It's a little hot out here, but I'm enjoying the scenery abound town San Diego.
-Yeah, my god, he does that really well, dude.
You're licking the lips and all that-- just something I like-- this is really, really nice.
You did a great job.

poor guy in Singapore, I guess.

-Well, I'm adopted.

So, your costume is very detailed.
The whole thing-- tell me how that came be to like, what was the process like?
-This is my first time to making a costume.

-It doesn't look like the first time.

-I taught myself to make scale mail.
-Right.
-You're allowed to look.
-Scale mail?
So, [unk] okay,
yeah, scale mail.
That's what the--
-This is what's this is called--
-Yeah.
-It's a-- it's an ancient technique where you weave metal, little scales.
-What-- it's like-- it's like-- what the hell was that from Lord of the Rings-- like Mithril, right?
-Yeah, a little bit.
-Yeah.

-So, if I get shoot-- shot with an arrow in this area--
-Right.

-Anywhere else, I'm done.

-Even I'm not too sure, but I'm riding a dinosaur.
-Well that's clear.
So, I like that,
that's cool.
-Yeah, it's a raptor, but I think it's female.
-Okay, so, we'll call it-- call her Beverly, how's that one?
-Okay, I like it, yeah, Beverly.

It's so ridiculous.
-So, tell me about the get up.
-I'm dressed as an Irathient, from the show Defiance.
It's--
-All right.
-a race of aliens that come to live on Earth.
I always grew up kind of like
the darker kid, but I was raised by hippies and they're kind of like a weird mix between hippies and mad max road warriors--
-Okay.
-so it's like I love them.
-What kind of cosplay are we dealing with here?
Is this like Team Fortress?
-Oh, no, no, no.
This is Dr. McNinja.
-Dr.
McNinja?
-Yes.
-Like doc-- like-- what is that?
-Doctor, but he's a ninja and his heritage is Irish.
-So--
-We have [unk]--
-So wait, Dr. McNinja.
Oh, this is an actual thing.
-Yeah.
-So, does he like-- he does like surgery and no one knows it?
-No.
So, he heals with the one hand and kills with the other, sometimes he's someone to save a life, some days he's someone to take a life.
He's there on either case.
-I have a question.
How come the sharks survive going in the tornado and then they like swim through the air?
It doesn't make any sense.
-Well, listen here.
