Chance the Rapper appears at Intel's CES 2021 presentation, speaks on education

It is my pleasure to introduce one of those partners to you today. The social works Foundation, including the founder, Grammy Award winning musician and humanitarian Chance the Rapper. There's a lot of things that you learn as an adult. But the most integral years are your childhood. The opportunities that I got were because of mentorship because of after school programming and because I accessed I work with deaf and hard of hearing students. It's an additional obstacle that they have to face. A lot of these families don't have access to a computer or education outside of school. When you add a pandemic and add remote learning, it becomes exponentially harder. The fact that a lot of children don't have access to internet that's a huge barrier in itself. There is no remote learning without assistance. Intel partnered up to give us $250,000 going to laptops, for students to access their remote learning pods, and then creating spaces for the youth in Chicago. We have initiatives that range from early education, early childhood development, homelessness, mental health, as well as after school programs for artistic expression. The Intel and CDW Social Works Collaboration is going to impact hundreds of students for years to come. I've seen these students grow so much since we started this pod. It's our duty to help the next generation as a thing that has to be a steady, ongoing process. Kids are literally the future. [MUSIC] The work chance and his team are doing is incredible and there are so many other partners out there doing the same. It is this shared vision to make technology fully inclusive and expand digital readiness for everyone that will truly decrease the digital divide and empower our next generation of leaders.
