The Burton Audex iPod Field Jacket is one of the more stylish and manageable ways to listen to your iPod while snowboarding or skiing.

[ Music ] ^M00:00:03 >> Donald Bell: Hey, I'm Donald Bell, senior editor for digital auto and MP3. >> And today I'm going to give you a first look at the Burton's Audex Ipod field jacket. This is a top of the line Burton Snowboarding jacket, that's about $379 dollars, so it's pretty pricey. But what you get is a really, great jacket. And you also get an Ipod remote control that'll let you wirelessly control your Ipod while you're snowboarding. And you get a little wireless receiver that you plug into your Ipod. And then you get your wireless remote control. There's a special place inside the jacket, [inaudible] just for the remote control that hides in a little rubber compartment where you can control your Ipod just by pressing the buttons on the top of your jacket. The Ipod can be tucked away inside your jacket, but you can use the remote control to control it. The system works really well, it uses high frequency radio waves to communicate between your Ipod and the remote control. It also doesn't require any additional power, there's no battery involved in the remote, and the receiver gets it power from your Ipod. And then you can tuck your Ipod inside the jacket, this secures inside the compartment, you zip it up, and then you've got remote control of your Ipod. You'll still need earphones though, so they thought of that too, inside the jacket is a little hole, that you can lace your earphones through, and give those to your head, and then you can snowboard down the mountains to your own soundtrack and have some fun. >> I'm Donald Bell, and that was a first look at the Burton's Audex Ipod field jacket. ^M00:01:31 [ Music ]
