Why you should probably pass on this entry-level Android 2.2 phone from a little-known brand.

Hi, this is Jessica Dolcourt for CNET, taking a fist look today at the Blue Tango. This is an unlock Android 2.2 for your phone. It also happens to be a GSM world phone. So, your first question is probably who's Blu. They are new manufacturer, only about 2 years old out of Miami and they mostly make phones bound for Latin America. It's a very basic Android Phone and it's meant to be, but unfortunate it feels and it works pretty cheap. It's like weigh for example phones that are usually huskier have a more premium feel. There's also this very weird bump at the top of the phone that sort of seems like a manufacturing air. Otherwise, it looks pretty good, but then we are able to very easily pull off the back cover here, another sign that maybe this isn't the best constructed phone. My other problems with the phone mostly came down to the screen. As you can see, the screen sizes really small. This is only a 2.8 inches, so already-- I'm not gonna have a lot of room to use the virtual keyboard or to maneuver around. In addition to that, the screen is resistive, not positive, which means that I'm gonna have to press a lot harder to get any traction, so when we combine the small screen and screen that's kind of hard to press to get anything accurate, that adds up to a lot of frustration. Though this phone is an all bad, there is a quite decent 3.2 mega pixel camera on the back. What's interesting though is that Blu has done away with the Android standard camera software and you will see that there is something a little bit different, little bit more visual, also little simpler, not as many options. Unfortunately, the call quality on this phone was really poor during my test. Okay, why would anyone wanna buy this phone though? It's 170 dollars unlocked, not 500 dollars like many other smart phones that are unlocked on the market. So, there is that. I would say, if you're looking for an Android Phone bypass this one unless you absolutely must have unlocked GSM world phone. I'm Jessica Dolcourt. This is the first look at the Blu Tango.
