More than 125,000 people are expected at this year's Comic-Con, the pop culture expo that's been held in San Diego for the last four decades. And as CNET's Kara Tsuboi shows us, a large chunk of them turn out in their superhero finery.

Comic-con of course. -Indiana Jones is all about fortune and glory -From the silly to the scary, have the fun of this annual celebration of pop culture is checking out the outrageous costumes. -I am bored, 3 of 7. No, one is judging you, right? Because everybody is passionate about this thing. This whole comic, video game, movie, TV thing and everybody is happy to celebrate it together. So, there's no judgement. -Absolutely, this is their family. -Absolutely. -That's what I say. -Yeah. -It feels friendly. -I feel like I can strike up a conversation with absolutely anybody on the floor and making instant friend. -But don't worry. -If you show without a costume, there's no shortage of foods, but then for sale.
