Making music just got easier on the iPhone. Meanwhile, Microsoft is replacing a Surface Pro accessory free of charge.
These are the top stores of the week. Apples releases a brand new app. Star Wars Eight is delayed. Microsoft issues a recall, and everything else you need to know. Apple released a new surprise app. It's called Music Memos, and its kind of like a voice recorder for musicians. You can play music and the app will figure out what chord you played. You can also add bass and drums to your demo. Once you're happy with what you have, you can export to GarageBand, YouTube, or other places. Disney says that Star Wars Episode VIII is delayed. Its original release date was May 26th, 2017. The new release date is December 15th, 2017. No official explanation was given for the delay. Disney will replace Star Wars in it's movie line up with a sequel to Pirates of the Caribbean. Stars Wars Episode VII, will now go head to head with Ready Player One at the end of 2017. Ahead of some major American football games, Facebook introduced Facebook Sports Stadium, it's a new place to follow live stats on teams. Sports Stadium also allows you to follow major sporting events. The first version rolled out with support for American football, with other sports coming soon. Right now, Facebook Sports Stadium is available on iPhone in the U.S. Support for other platforms and other areas are coming. Lots to know this week. Let's go rapid fire. Super popular messaging App WhatsApp killed its $1 subscription fee and promises, you won't see third party adds. Dropbox is rolling out a new Windows 10 App. Bloomberg reports court Apple Google paid Apple $1 billion in 2014 and a revenue share agreement to keep its Google search on the iPhone. Those court documents have since gone off one. And Splash Data released it's report on the worst passwords of 2014. 123456 and password still top the list. Here's what flew under the radar this week. Microsoft is recalling some Surface Pro power cables. The recalls effects the Surface Pro, Pro 2 and Pro 3 sold before March 2015. Recall info can be found at surface.com/powercord.
