1:43 /

Apple iOS chief Scott Forstall announces a new app called Cards. Users can create and mail cards from the iPhone or iPod Touch. The company then prints the cards on high-quality paper and delivers via mail for $2.99 in the U.S.

-Cards is an app which lets you create and mail beautiful cards right from your iPhone or iPod touch. You can customize them with your own photos and text. Just make the card on your phone or your iPod Touch, Apple does the rest. We'll print it out on high quality 100% cotton paper with this [unk] designs. If you zoom in, you can see the quality of these cards in the letterpress. You can choose from between 21 different designs in 6 different categories, things like thank you cards, holiday cards, birth announcements, birthday cards, love, and travel. Now, all you do is create the card on your iPhone and we'll do the rest. We'll print out the card, put it on envelope, affix postage and mail it for you and what's really cool is if you mail it to an address in the United States, we'll add the US Postal services intelligent mail bar code right down at the bottom and that allows us to send you a post notification the day it's delivered. So, you know when your card gets there, very cool. If you mail to an address anywhere in the United States, it's only $2.99 cents. That's for the card, the envelope, the postage mailing and everything and it's $4.99 if you mail it anywhere in the world. Cards will be a free download on October 12.
