Acer Aspire Z5771-UR31P
Hi.
I am Rich Brown, CNET Editor for cnet.com.
Today, we're gonna take a look at the ACER Aspire Z5571.
So this is a 23-inch touch all-in-one.
It's costs about $900 and you'll find it pretty much any retail outlet.
Overall, it's a freely decent system.
It's got a pretty neutral look to it.
It's got a little bit of style here with a great (trimmer?) on the top and the bottom.
But overall, it's (??) design in words.
Still though, it's got decent performance for its price.
It has a 3.3 gigahertz core (i3?) CPU, 4 gigs of RAM, a terabyte of hard drive and an embedded graphics chip.
So you can do pretty much any task you want in this PC.
Just, we wouldn't use it for gaming or advance media creation.
So this is a touch screen.
We find this pretty responsive.
(??) my finger there pretty readily.
The software though is actually pretty boring.
There is an icon in the corner there and the interface is a little bit (clunky?).
We (dreaded over?) and we get ACER's touch software.
It's a combination of Microsoft surface apps, various other programs, none of which are really that exciting.
The good news is you don't have to use the touch software.
The wireless mouse and keyboard that come with this system are perfectly fine.
There's even a slot here in the bottom of the system where you can put the keyboard to get it out of the way.
Now, for the most part, the other features in the system are standard but there's a couple that standpoint.
Here in the left side of the display, you get a couple of USB 3 jacks which is a great feature.
You get SD card slots that will standard analog audio outs.
And if we swing around to the back to the PC, you can see that there's HDMI in and outputs which are really crucial for making the system more versatile.
Those mean you cannot only connect the second display of this PC, you can also input from a game console or a cable box.
That really makes it appropriate for dorm setting or some other space constraint area where you don't want two displays but you may have multiple video sources coming in.
There's also (??) 2 jacks on the back, as well as an Ethernet output but another standout feature is the digital audio out which is not really that common in PC's under a $1000.
Finally, you also get a DVD burner on the right side of the PC.
So this isn't the fastest PC on the block, nor is it the best looking.
But its combination of performance and whole media features really make it appealing especially next to more expensive PC's some other vendors that don't quite have the same HDMI outputs for example.
So if you're looking for a versatile affordable PC, we can certainly recommend this one.
So I am Rich Brown.
This is the Acer Aspire Z5571.
