>> Hey this is Justin Yu, Assistant Editor for CNET.com and here today with the Acer Aspire X1200-U1520A Desktop PC. It's sort of a budget PC with mid-range component housed in a neat little chassis here that's designed to sort of live next to your computer or in your living room, anywhere that you want, it should be visible. It doesn't have the best components in the world, but for $450, they're not that bad. You get a dual-core AMD processor, 320-gigs of hard drive space, 4-gigs of RAM, and 64-bit Windows Vista. So the parts actually aren't that bad for the price. So the front panel is pretty basic up at the top of the power button. The glossy chassis over here opens to reveal the DVD burner and below you have a couple of USB ports, a FireWire port and a few ports for audio and headphones. Now on the back you do get a few more audio ports, 4 more USB ports bumping the total up to 9 -- that's pretty impressive. An eSATA port for connecting an external hard drive and an HDMI port in case you wanna do 1080p video. You'll also notice that there's no Wi-Fi, but there is an integrated modem if you wanna travel back to 1995. As you can see the inside is a little bit cramped, but we can forgive Acer because there are so many components that's stuffed into such a small package. For example, you do get two memory card slots that are already filled up with cards, but they leave behind a really awkward hard drive case that makes you take out the hard drive if you do wanna install other memory sticks. There are also two half-height card slots in case you feel like upgrading to a better graphics card later on down the line. Overall, we did like the Acer Aspire X1200. It's got quality components in a pretty tight package. Although it's not without its design flaws, but if you're looking for a low-budget, slim PC, this one's not gonna disappoint.
