Nissan refreshes the GT-R with more power, improved aero
[MUSIC]
The arrival of a new Godzilla is been accompanied by some real weird stuff in the past.
Everything from man to the rubber suits supports CGI or even in occasion in God awful flat [UNKNOWN] .Thankfully, this isn't the case this time around.
Instead, we have the all new 2-17 Nissan GTR behind us.
No, this isn't DR 36.
It's not a new generation.
Rather, a strong midlife cycle refreshed, riding on the same general platform that's occurring at GTR.
All though it is not technically new, it is one impressive machine.

Most of the exterior adjustments on the 2017 GTR have been made in the name of fighting a single element, air.
The grill is larger to let more air in for better cooling.
The new hood, and front lip make the air push the car down for better handling.
New side skirts, and rear bumper air vents let the air get around the vehicle more efficiently for superior aerodynamic, The car's [UNKNOWN] return attached to a new titanium system.
Because we all know you can't have a performance car with fewer than four tailpipes.
We got a [UNKNOWN] inside the GTR as well.
Most obvious perhaps is this brand new dashboard Design.
Nissan claims its horizontal layout instills a sense of high-speed stability.
Because I know the only thing that calms me down when the guy in the driver's seat is doing 170 miles an hour, is looking at the shape of the dashboard and going, Right, okay.
For those of you who went to Space Camp and had dreams of piloting a car with more switches than Houston's Mission Control, you'll be saddened to learn that the GTR's interior decreases the number of physical switches from 27 to 11.
The flappy panels are now also attached to the steering wheel rather than the steering column to make mid turn gear shifts easier.
The new infotainment touchscreen is larger now as well, moving up to eight inches from seven.
All that size of the boat, motion of the ocean malarkey?
Just a lie to make you feel better, it matters.
[MUSIC]
All right, let's get down to the real meat and potatoes, the power train.
The engine remains a 3.8 liter twin turbo V6, but output is now up to 565 horsepower and 467 pound feet of torque.
That's a bump of 20 horses and [UNKNOWN] respectively.
The transmission is still a 6V dual clutch gear box and all four wheels still hustle this thing down the road.
Power isn't up because Nissan added a sick new intake bro.
Instead, it changed ignition timing in individual cylinders and upped the turbo chargers boost.
If someone didn't keep you from shoving this car into a ditch on your way home from the dealership, the [UNKNOWN] and the suspensions been adjusted.
Nissan claims it has the dual benefit of increasing both stability and ride quality.
Of course you won't be able to suss out the difference between press released platitudes and the real on road deal for a little while.
The car's not coming until summer.
But from what we've seen the 2017 GTR packs the most lovely one two punches.
The gorgeous Japanese robot with killer performance to boot.
We can't wait to take a spin and tell you all about it, with or without Puff Daddy
