The Cobra Tag
This Bluetooth-enabled key fob promises to help scatterbrains like me keep track of their keys and Android or BlackBerry smartphone by giving a notification when the two are separated.
Size comparison
At about 2.25 inches tall by 1 inch wide, the Cobra Tag fits easily in a pocket with a few keys on its ring.
Micro-USB port
A Micro-USB port on the bottom edge of the unit facilitates charging with the included cable.
Speaker
The speaker on the back of the Cobra Tag is small, but it's quite loud.
Key fob
We used the Cobra Tag to keep track of our keys, but you could attach it to a backpack, a purse, or any other item you'd like to keep nearby.
Cobra Tag app
The free Cobra Tag app for Android or BlackBerry is where you can adjust a variety of settings and view the status of the Cobra Tag device.
Mapping
When separated from the Tag device, the Cobra Tag app will mark its position on a Google Map.
Of course, it tweets
In the event that the phone is the half of the equation that's missing, the app can also lock the phone with a PIN and send out time and location data via e-mail, Facebook, and Twitter.
