Forbidden fruit takes the shape of the 2017 Audi S4 Avant
Seriously, why does the US hate wagons so much?!
Come on, just bring this thing to the US already.
Like the S4 sedan, the S4 Avant gets its power from a 3.0-liter V-6, putting out 354 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque.
Being heavier, the S4 Avant takes 4.9 seconds to reach 62 mph, versus 4.7 seconds for the sedan.
However, that weight is the only difference between these two cars -- well, that and the body style.
The S4 Avant's chassis features the same upgrades as the S4 sedan, including a lower ride height, brake-based torque vectoring and optional adaptive dampers.
Aside from additional cargo space, the S4 Avant's interior is exactly the same as the S4 sedan's.
Whether you're looking for high-end audio equipment or adaptive cruise control, there's a likely expensive option box just waiting to be ticked.
Speaking of ticked, I'm still ticked this isn't coming to the US.
This wild wagon goes on sale in Europe in the second half of this year.
The S4 Avant's starting price is €61,150 ($69,389, directly converted).
