Microsoft has announced a new controller for the Xbox One, set to debut later this year. Dubbed the Xbox Elite Wireless, it's all about customization: you can swap out the analog sticks and re-assign the various buttons to perform new actions. Fans of first-person shooters will appreciate being able to adjust the sensitivity on the triggers.

And there's something for racing fans too: four paddles have been added to the underside of the controller, offering up a faster, snazzier way to shift gears.

The Elite Wireless controller will debut in October later this year for $150 (UK and Australian prices have yet to be announced, but the US price converts to around £95 or AU$195). There's still plenty more to see, so be sure to pop over to CNET's liveblog of Microsoft's E3 press conference.
