Quick Take: Although the Bluetake BT400GII is lightweight, snug, and compact, its utilitarian design is largely bland and looks like something out of a 1960s sci-fi movie. On the plus side, though, its changeable faceplates add a touch of personalization, and the foldaway boom and the flexible ear loop add to the already small size.

Its varied audio performance often trumped the headset's other well-engineered features. We tested the headset on the Nokia 6820, the Motorola V600, and the Sony Ericsson T616. Despite the adequate volume, callers often complained that we sounded far away. On our end, the headset made the caller sound robotic at times. For battery life, Bluetake promises 4 hours of talk time and 4.2 days of standby time. In our tests, we exceeded the rated standby time by 4 days.
