The LG Nexus 4 lands on T-Mobile
Delivering an unsullied Android 4.2 Jelly Bean experience and quad-core speeds, the LG Nexus 4 comes close to being a powerhouse. Unfortunately, with a phone of this caliber, to come out these days without LTE is a huge misstep. Instead, it operates on "4G-ish" GSM/HSPA+ technology.
Jelly Beans all the things!
As Google's flagship phone of the season, the Nexus 4 is the first smartphone to natively ship with Jelly Bean. A few new features include Photo Sphere, a notifications bar with more information, and quick access to Google Now.
A familiar look
Much of the interface and user experience have not changed since Android Ice Cream Sandwich. Here, the dashboard and onscreen hot keys look the same as they did in the last iteration.
Reppin' the Riptide
Powered by a 1.5Ghz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, the Nexus 4 executes fast and rich graphics for gameplay.
A look to the side
In addition to its 4.7-inch screen, the Nexus 4 measures 5.27 inches tall, 2.7 inches wide, and 0.36 inch thick. It weighs 4.8 ounces.
Sparkling in the sunlight
Design wise, the LG Nexus 4 doesn't break any barriers. Its glittering back plate, however, is very distinct.
Say cheese to 8MP
The back houses an 8-megapixel camera capable of shooting 1080p HD video. The front-facing camera is 1.3 megapixels and can record video in 720p.
Plugging in for power
At the bottom of the LG Nexus 4 is a Micro-USB port for charging its 2,100mAh battery.
Going to sleep
The left side houses a sleep/power button.
In time for the holidays
The Nexus 4 will be available unlocked on November 13, starting at $299 for the 8GB version and $349 for the 16GB. T-Mobile will start selling it a day after and will offer the 16GB model for $199 alongside a carrier agreement.
