Lenovo ThinkVision Pro2840m

LAS VEGAS -- With crystal clear resolutions, vividly saturated colors, and useful features for professionals, 4K monitors have impressed many who have laid their eyes on them. However, the super sharp screens come at a high price -- literally. Thanks to a few debuts at CES 2014, those interested in a more affordable 4K monitor now have a few more options.

The Lenovo ThinkVision Pro2840m is one of those options, starting at $799. This 28-inch monitor houses a plethora of ports and an ergonomic design that allows the display to be turned vertically.

Lenovo ThinkVision 28

Lenovo impressively packs full Android functionality on this fresh 4K display. Starting at $1,119, the 28-inch monitor will ship with Android 4.4 KitKat and house a Nvidia Tegra CPU with 2GB of RAM. You can use the display as a monitor or as an all-in-one Android device. Pretty nifty if you ask me.

Dell 28 Ultra HD Monitor (P2815Q)

This 28-inch Dell 4K monitor is the lowest priced of the bunch, starting at $699. It's a good deal, however, its low refresh rate makes it less suitable for gamers. It's expected to go on sale in January 2014.

Samsung UD590

The UD590 monitor is another 4K rocking display, but in order for this Samsung model to compete with the other 28-inchers on this list Samsung would have to price it competitively. Aside from its super-sharp display, it features few ports, including two HDMI and one DisplayPort.
