Verizon's LG Cosmos 3
Available from Verizon for free with contract, the LG Cosmos 3 is a keyboard-equipped feature phone. Disappointingly, it sports many of the same specs as its predecessor, the Cosmos 2, such as the 1.3-megapixel camera and 2-inch screen.
Quick access to the camera
The phone measures 4.41 inches tall, 2.06 inches wide, and 0.63-inch thick. On the left is a hard key to launch the camera.
A surprisingly sharp display
The 2-inch TFT screen has a 320x240-pixel resolution and can support up to 262,000 colors. The display has a wide viewing angle and surprisingly retains a lot of details with photos.
A view above
At the top of the phone is a 3.5mm headphone jack for audio listening. You can remove the battery door by prying open a small indent. Once detached, you can gain access to the microSD card slot, which is expandable up to 32GB, and the battery.
Another profile look
On the left are a small (and rather flush) volume rocker and a Micro-USB port that is protected with a small attached cover.
A few hours for talk
The handset runs on a 900mAh battery, which has a reported talk-time of about six hours.
Some camera features
The Cosmos 3's 1.3-megapixel camera comes with few editing options, including a brightness meter, three photo sizes (from 320x240 to 1,280x960), a timer, and a noise reducer.
