The Sony Xperia Z Ultra unleashed
Fancy a larger Xperia Z? Now you have it in the form of the Xperia Z Ultra.
Ultra is bigger then Mega.
Bigger, but so much slimmer.
The tempered glass rear gives the handset a premium feel.
The large power button is how you tell it's a Xperia handset.
Flaps serve to protect the handset's ports and keep it waterproof.
The Xperia Z Ultra has a lot of screen space, which means you can load up more of Sony's small apps without blocking out too much of the display.
The phablet doesn't come with a digitizer, so you will have to manually select brush sizes. The good news? You can use a pencil or a metal object -- it doesn't have to be a capacitive stylus.
The Quick Settings feature seems to be missing in the Xperia Z Ultra.
Sliding to the left of the app drawer reveals a toolbar that lets you quickly search for the app you need.
This gap on the side contains connections for placing the Z Ultra in a dock.
Here's the 8-megapixel camera on the back, capable of taking snaps underwater.
The sticking-out lock button is now a mainstay of Sony's smart phone design.
Sony told us that the Z Ultra will come in white, black, or purple.
It's absolutely huge, but it feels very fast thanks to the 2.2GHz quad-core processor on the inside.
This cover conceals the microSD card slot, which you can use to bump up the available 16GB of storage (11GB of which are user-accessible).
