Solar e Power Cube 1500 (photos)
Wagan Corp's new Solar Cube 1500 combines solar panels, an inverter, and battery storage plus a variety of outlets in a nifty fold-up rolling model.
On the left you see it open to catch the sun's rays, and on the right you see it folded up with the handle extended for rolling.
This model has a 1500 watt capacity so you can plug in multiple devices simultaneously. Used alone, a full charge would give you 11 hours of laptop use, or 165 hours of an LED 3W bulb.
Plug in any standard household appliance or use a car adapter or USB cord.
Uses may include camping, tailgating, and emergency survival preparedness. It takes about 18 hours of peak sunlight to store up a full charge on the battery. You can also charge it indoors, and it'll be ready to go when you need it.
The wheels look big and rugged, good for rolling over rough terrain possibly.
Instructions are printed in several languages on the back of one panel so you don't have to worry about bringing the manual with you in an emergency. The whole unit is waterproof.
