Samsung changes Gear 360 into a pocket camera for 2017
Gone is the ball-shaped body (and removable battery) and in its place is a much smaller and easier to hold 360-degree camera design for use Galaxy phones and now, iPhones.

The new Gear 360 is much smaller than the original. It can now record at "real 4K" resolution and live-stream to YouTube, Facebook and Samsung VR at full HD.

The Gear 360 2017 is expected to ship in late April or May. Pricing wasn't available, but Samsung says it will be less expensive than its predecessor.
