The Galaxy S 4G improves on the Samsung Vibrant by adding 4G connectivity, a front-facing camera for video calls, and ships with Android 2.2.1. T-Mobile also preloads the handset with a number of entertainment extras, including a full copy of the movie "Inception."

Design

The overall design of the Galaxy S 4G is pretty much identical to the Vibrant's. They're the same size and feature the same 4-inch Super AMOLED touch screen.

The one difference in design is that the Galaxy S 4G has a "silver reflex" finish on back.

There's a volume rocker on the left side, and the right side features a power/lock button. We wish the smartphone also had a dedicated camera key.

Camera and picture quality

The Samsung Galaxy S 4G comes with a 5-megapixel camera capable of 720p HD video capture. Both picture and video quality were good, with sharp images and bright color.
