Meet the Samsung Ativ Book 9 Lite, a touch screen Windows 8 laptop that's powered by a Samsung-brand quad-core processor. Click through for more snaps.
It's a very slim machine, measuring 16.9mm. Not a bad size for lugging around campus.
Connectivity is a little light, so look elsewhere if you require a huge array of ports.
Inside there's a solid-state drive, which should make for speedy boot times, and will be a little less likely to break if it takes a knock.
The trackpad is big, which is a promising sign, as often smaller machines have uncomfortable, cramped trackpads.
You get full Windows 8, which may seem unfamiliar if you're used to older editions. The screen is touch-sensitive, so you can swipe through the Start screen's colorful icons using your digits.
Gaps between each key will cut down on typing errors.
Inside there's a quad-core processor -- apparently one of Samsung's own. That's unusual, so we'll be keen to check out its performance in our benchmark tests.
