Starting off with the Lumia 920
After a short introduction by Nokia CEO Stephen Elop, Jo Harlow, executive vice president of smart devices at Nokia, kicks off the show holding a yellow Lumia 920.
Augmented reality with Maps
In addition to the City Lens feature and the camera's image stabilization technology, the 920 will also have Nokia Maps with augmented reality -- an interactive live map experience.
A bright PureMotion HD+ display
Harlow said that the device's PureMotion HD+ display is the best smartphone display innovation. It includes blur-free scrolling, crisp images, sharper pictures, and videos "that pop."
Underneath the hood
The handset is powered by a 2,000mAh battery and a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor.
Going wire-free
The device will also have wireless charging capabilities. Here, it is set up on top of a "Fatboy charging pillow" that users will need to purchase in addition to the Lumia 920. Nokia has teamed up with Virgin Atlantic and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf to provide wireless charging stations.
A new start (screen)
Joe Belfiore, corporate vice president of Microsoft, demos the Windows Phone 8's start screen's new small tile option, as well as the personalized live tile for individuals.
Finally, screenshots!
By holding the power and home button, users can now take screenshots on the Lumia 920.
A view with many lenses
In addition to working seamlessly across multiple device platforms, WP8 comes packed with photo features like multiple lenses through the integrated FX Suite app.
More on wireless charging
Kevin Shields, senior vice president of Nokia, takes the stage to dive into the wireless charging features.
Accessories that pop
Not only can the Lumia 920 charge on a plate, but by using NFC, it can also work wirelessly with a slew of JBL audio products.
No wires for audio speakers
The device can sit up top a JBL Power Up speaker and play music while charging -- all without wires.
Tapping along with NFC
By tapping against a pair of JBL headphones, music can also play through the Lumia 920.
Cropping away the undesirables
More camera features include a Smart Shot function that crops away unwanted objects.
Now everyone can make a cinemagraph
A cinemagraph tool creates GIF-like images, similar to moving photos, in a snap.
The Nokia Lumia 820
The other WP8 Lumia device is the 820, a slightly smaller handset (it has a 4.3-inch screen, whereas the 920 has a 4.5-inch screen) with rounded corners and a removable back plate that comes in several colors and has wireless charging capabilities.
The two CEOs
Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer joins Elop on stage with the two Nokia Lumias in hand.
