MMS on the iPhone
To initiate an MMS, just click the camera icon next to the writing area in the messaging application.
You can choose to take a new photo or use an existing image.
If you prefer to take a new photo, you'll go directly to the camera. After shooting, you'll get a preview of the image. You can retake if you want.
If you select an image from the photo gallery, you're presented with options to choose that photo or to cancel your selection.
Alternatively, you can start an MMS by selecting an image already in your photo gallery. Once you select an existing photo, you'll see an option for sending it as a multimedia message.
After adding an image to a messaging thread, it will appear in the writing area. Click Send to push it on its way.
Sent images will appear along with text in your message thread. Images you send are on the right, while images you receive are on the left.
You can delete photos individually from the thread by selecting the Edit option.
Thumbnails of incoming photos will appear on your display. You can choose to see the photo now or close the notification for viewing later.
If you click on a thumbnail in the messaging thread you can see the image in its entirety. You then can save the photo to your gallery if you wish. Also, you can swipe between all photos in a thread.
