Apple announced the brace of new smart phones yesterday. The top-of-the-line 5S comes in three subtle shades for its metal case, while the cheaper 5C comes in a cornucopia of colours for its cheery plastic shell. Both show off Apple's cutting-edge iOS 7 software.

The new iPhone 5S will set you back £549. And the iPhone 5C will cost £469.
Both phones are out on 20 September -- a week Friday -- so you've got just over a week to save up. If you want to update your existing iPhone or iPad, the iOS 7 download is out on 18 September for iPhone 4, 4S and 5.
Which UK networks will sell the iPhone? Quickest off the blocks are O2 and Vodafone, complete with head-spinning 4G data speeds.
