HTC Desire S hands-on (photos)

The Desire S is one of six new HTC phones at Mobile World Congress. CNET takes a closer look.

Kent German
Kent was a senior managing editor at CNET News. A veteran of CNET since 2003, he reviewed the first iPhone and worked in both the London and San Francisco offices. When not working, he's planning his next vacation, walking his dog or watching planes land at the airport (yes, really).

HTC Desire S

BARCELONA, Spain--Though it's not a huge departure from the original Desire, the HTC Desire S has a sturdy aluminum shell and a rounded shape that fits nicely in the hand. The Gingerbread-powered device offers a Qualcomm 1GHz 8255 Snapdragon processor, front- and rear-facing HD cameras, and a 3.7-inch WVGA display.
