We take a closer look at the updated handheld console at the Tokyo Game Show, as Sony looks to spark some new life into the Vita franchise.
The Sony PlayStation Vita PCH-2000 is a new version of the company's handheld console, announced in Japan last month. It will go on sale in Japan for 18,980 yen (US $190) in October, and in parts of Asia in November. No US release date has been given so far.

Sony demonstrated the Remote Play feature at the Tokyo Game Show. Here, the player is using the Vita 2000 to control his character in the new PS4 game Knack -- which is shown on both the TV and PS Vita's LCD.
While it is happening in the same room in this scenario, this feature should allow you to play PS4 games even if your PS4 console is in a different location, as long as you have an active Internet connection on your PS Vita 2000.
