Head to the iPhone App Store for the CNET Reviews app, which gives you CNET's expert tech shopping advice--expert reviews, First Look videos, buying guides, and prices--via your iPhone. The app is free, but note that you'll need iOS 4 or higher to run it.
CNET Reviews app's home screen gives easy acess to tech categories
From the home screen, browse categories for product reviews or navigate to handy tools, including a search tool and a bar code scanner for finding product reviews and prices while you're standing in a store aisle.
Just aim the CNET Reviews app's bar code scanner at the code on a product's package. Our app returns a CNET editor's review of the product, plus prices from a wide variety of stores so that you can make a smart choice.
A search results page in the CNET Reviews app delivers editors' ratings, user ratings, and prices. From this screen, you can dive deeper to read reviews or you can sort by price, rating, or review date.
Once you find the product you're looking for, read the editor's review, see user ratings, or navigate to product videos, specs, or photos. You can also save favorite products to visit later or share what you've found via e-mail, Facebook, or Twitter.
If you can find a tech product review on the CNET Reviews apps, there's a good chance you'll find a First Look video on that product, too. In this shot, Senior Editor Donald Bell discusses the many merits of an Editors' Choice-winning portable speaker dock.
