LG Volt
The $100 LG Volt (about £65, or AU$130) won't stand out in a crowd, but it offers LTE connectivity and great battery life.
The phone runs on Boost Mobile's network -- that means lots of preinstalled bloatware to remove. Its operating system is Android 4.4KitKat, and on top of that there's LG's Optimus UI.
The star of the show is the removable 3,00 mAh battery -- we saw an average of just over 16 hours of battery life in CNET's video playback test. There's only 8GB of internal storage, but you can add up to 32GB with a microSD card.
The 8-megapixel camera on the rear is decidedly less impressive, churning out dull, lifeless images with washed-out colors.
The USB charger is flanked by a pair of small, tinny-sounding speakers.
The volume controls sit on the left side of the Volt.
And here's the lock button, on the right.
The headphone jack sits up top, accompanied by an IR emitter, so you can use the phone as a remote control.
