Behold the Emperor (photos)
If you're looking for an impressive ergonomic computing environment that will keep you comfortable for hours at a time and you happen to have 6 grand burning a hole in your pocket, look no further than MWE Labs' Emperor system.
The Emperor's fully mechanized tilting frame allows you to get in and sit down before lowering it's tri-screen display set in front of you.
Something about this whole concept reminds me of those flying chairs for the obese humans you see near the end of "Wall-E." It also brings to mind the Entertainment from "Infinite Jest."
I once heard about some guy building a little enclosed area complete with toilet...you know, so he could stay inside World of Warcraft as long as possible. Thankfully this does not include a toilet. That would be too much.
Ergonomically speaking, I can imagine editing large batches of photos in a cushy setup like this. It reclines and everything. I couldn't help but imagine my Wacom tablet and a little RPG key set at my hands, racing through Lightroom for hours with zero pain.
The monitors are not included, of course, as everyone has their own preferences and needs.
