Ativ Odyssey, Samsung's first U.S. Windows Phone (pictures)
The midlevel Windows Phone is a first for the Samsung-Verizon duo.
Samsung Ativ Odyssey makes it debut
LAS VEGAS--Verizon and Samsung unveiled the Samsung Ativ Odyssey at CES today, at least that if officially. We first caught wind of it back in October, but this January confab marks the first time we're able to get hands-on time with the Windows 8 phone.
Remind you of anything?
The Ativ Odyssey looks like a mini version of the Samsung Galaxy S3, except, of course, for the fact that it's earmarked for Microsoft's OS, not Android.
Small by today's standards
You'll find a 4-inch WVGA display on the Odyssey, which is perfectly fine, but small by Samsung's latest standards.
Look, it's the camera
The 5-megapixel camera holds down the fort, and a 1.2-megapixel camera sits in front.
All Windows Phone 8
A Windows phone through and through, the Ativ Odyssey frames Windows Phone well.
Load 'em up
Equipped with a microSD card slot, the Odyssey holds up to 64GB in external storage.
Side view
Neither ultraslim nor too thick, the Odyssey strikes the middle ground in terms of bulk.
