The Acer Iconia Tab A500 is an Android Honeycomb-based tablet with specs that are nearly identical to those of the Motorola Xoom. The most notable difference is the price, which starts at $449. The tablet will start shipping April 24, exclusively for Best Buy.

The iPad 2 (bottom) doesn't have the wide-screen format of the Acer Iconia Tab (top), but its stable of tablet-optimized apps and significantly thinner and lighter design will prove hard to resist for most consumers.
