I spy, with my little eye, something beginning with 'u'. As you're not sitting next to us this game could go on for a while, but we'll give you a clue. It's thin, it makes phone calls and it comes from South Korea. Not guessed yet? I'm spying the Ultra Edition range by Samsung, which will slip into your pocket as easily as an iPod nano.

The Samsung X820 (pictured right) is a candybar phone that's 50mm wide, 113mm tall and 6.9mm deep. That's right, 6.9mm thin -- the same as an iPod nano. The phone weighs only 66g, which is 15g lighter than the Samsung P300. However, thin doesn't mean dim, as the X820 features a 2-megapixel camera, colour screen, EDGE connectivity, Bluetooth and 80MB internal memory.

Next up in the Ultra Edition range is the Samsung D900 slider phone (pictured middle). This handset is a little thicker and heavier at 13mm deep and 83g, but it features a 3.1-megapixel camera, a microSD slot and a larger colour screen. It also has quad-band and EDGE connectivity, Bluetooth and 80MB of internal memory.

Last in the range is the D830 clamshell phone (pictured left), which is 9.9mm thin and weighs 92g. This phone is similar to the Motorola Razr V3, but is 5.1mm thinner and 4g lighter. It also has a 2-megapixel camera and a microSD slot, which the V3 and V3i don't.

The Ultra Edition range should be available soon, although we've not been told a definite date. There are also no details on pricing or which retailers are going to sell them yet. We'll keep you updated when we find out more. -AL
