Behold this amazing Lego pop-up Japanese castle
Fan pays tribute to the iconic Himeji Castle by transforming a flat pack of Legos into a 3D homage, all without using any glue.
Lego fans have built everything from a giant Star Destroyer with multiple levels to a miniature model of the Vatican, but this may be the first time we've seen a Lego creation that goes from flat model into 3D pop-up castle in mere seconds.
Japanese YouTube user Talapz posted this YouTube video last week showing off his Lego pop-up Himeji Castle.
The highly detailed Lego creation of the Himeji Castle in Japan, the most prominent archetype of castle design there, took 15 months to build and weighs about 27.8 pounds (12.5 kilograms).
The build measures approximately 28 inches long by 28 inches wide by 4.5 inches high (70 centimeters by 70 centimeters by 11.5 centimeters).
When Talapz slowly opens and closes his pop-up Lego model, it feels like a scene out of "Inception" or the new "Doctor Strange" trailer when a city's landscape folds in on itself.
We can't wait to see what this Lego master makes next. It's probably safe to assume it'll be something remarkable to view up close.
