Voltron fans deserve a Lego set this big.

Lego Ideas

Voltron, a super robot from the hit '80s animated series, might get a Lego set worthy of its giant fan base if Lego Ideas sees the buzz it's generating.

Created by talented fan len_d69, this impressive set was submitted as a proposal on the Lego Ideas site and could hit store shelves if it gets enough votes.

All it needs is 10,000 votes to be considered for production by the official Lego team. Currently, the project has 7,262 votes.

Voltron Lego lions come in an array of colors.

Lego Ideas

"A childhood favorite, I tried to re-create Voltron as faithfully as I could in both lion and combined form, len_d69 wrote in his Lego proposal. "Adding in details to make it look as close as possible to its anime version."

The set comes with five lions, in black, red, green, blue and yellow. Each lion has its own unique articulation, and can be played with solo or used to build one large Voltron robot, which stands around 16 inches (40cm) in height and weighs close to 2 pounds (1 kilogram).

Five minifigs, color coordinated with the lions, will also be included in the set.
