While we're sure there are more accessories to come, two add-ons that will be readily available when the Motorola Droid launches on November 6 are the Multimedia Station and Phone Holder for Droid. Verizon announced their official pricing on Thursday with each device costing $29.99.

The multimedia dock turns the Droid into a hub where you can easily access your music, photos, and videos and use it as a bedside alarm clock and weather station. It also serves as a charger.

Meanwhile, when the smartphone is placed in the Phone Holder, it will automatically bring up a navigation menu where you can view maps, search for points of interest, or get voice-guided turn-by-turn directions with the new Google Maps Navigation app.

The only accessories packaged with the Motorola Droid include an AC adapter, a USB cable, and a 16GB microSD card.

Nice price points! I thought they would be over $50 for sure, maybe even around $100. They look very nice and, most importantly, both will charge the phone! The Motorola website says the phone holder "Includes a Rapid Car Charger". This makes me even more anxious to get my hands on a Droid.

Not sure that the car dock charges the phone seeing as it doesn't plug into the cigarette lighter, but I'm sure that if you had a car charger for the Droid, you'd be able to have it plugged up and still use the GPS.

That's what I thought at first, then I looked at the Motorola site and it specifically states "Includes a Rapid Car Charger". If that's not something that plugs into the car outlet to charge the device, then it's a very poor choice of words. But I think it is exactly that. We only have a week left to find out for sure!

wow, I really hope this phone is as good as it sounds. I've been holding onto my ancient Razr and an almost-as-ancient Blackberry, waiting for the past year for Verizon to come out with a smartphone that's really worth something. sounds like this one might be it. also very impressed that these two devices are priced affordably to get both.

I have to admit that I thought the station would be over $50 since it looks like a nice piece of hardware, and the car charger around the same price range as well, since Verizon's accessories are usually much more expensive. This'll make it tougher to haggle down the phone and rate prices, so I might have to throw some other accessories into the mix, maybe another memory card and a belt holster.

The car "Phone Holder", a car charger, and a belt clip would be all that is really needed. Anything else would just be geeking out!!! LOL!!!
