Enough with the lame updates

(Credit: Switched.com)

With Wilson at the auto expo in town, our good friend Kenley Bradstreet from "Heavy & Flow" joins us today on the show. We chat about Gore Verbinski's decision to make BioShock over another pirates movie and how that'll either be the best or worst thing he's ever done.

Justin then enlightens us about the logistical issues with sending feces through the United States Postal Service and how it isn't exactly a crime. First thing you'll want to do with the new OnStar system in the event of a car accident is Twitter about it as the service has found its way to the on-board vehicle communication system.

Next Kenley tells us about The Transcendent Man, Ray Kurzweil, and how he used to come visit the Bradstreet home on major holidays. Finally, we touch on some tech no-nos, a few tech-inspired faux pas (can you even pluralize that?) that we're all guilty of.

Make sure you keep sending in those stories of survival for a chance to win Tom Avery's incredible book, "To the End of the Earth". Leave us an email (the404 [at] cnet [dot] com or call in @ 866-404-CNET).

Congratulations. Finally something I cannot understand one whit of. Who the hell is Kenley and why should I care? Who is so self absorbed that they send little texts every few minutes as they ponder whether to take a breath or not? And who and why send feces through the mail.

Garbage journalism reaches a new low.

Dont be hating on the 404. If you dont like it, DONT LISTEN. Bore out loud is just waiting for you, with tom merrit taking the fun out of everything just for you.

Quick, I hear Tom Merritt is about to talk about flux compasitors and graduating highschool in 82, then Natalie will tell a white joke and state that anyone who watches the Simpson are likely to not own a cell phone.

hey guys.

Where the heck is that link you said you were going to post in the show notes? It was the link regarding Kenley's comments about the guy that worked with her dad... I want to check that site out.

Anyways, hate the show!

Hey guys, I liked the podcast and it was fun to listen to. I was angry about hearing the prosecution of this American hero that sent poo in the mail. We need to stand up in defense of this guy. Maybe letter writing to the government. I got it! We'll start a smear campaign.

I'm with the first guy. "Kenly" is easily one of the worst guests the show has ever seen. It's clear she doesn't know much of what's being talked about, and the whole jr. high "heh heh , we're talking to a girl" thing would be fine, I guess, if it weren't for the fact that Natalie Del Conte, the Candian girl, and Caroline McCarthy are 1000% more interesting and also women.

I think it hurts the show when it's like "Sleep Doctor! Guy who climbed a mountain! Jonothan Colton! Some girl nobody knows, hasn't done anything and isn't remotely interesting!"

I agree, but not every show can be a grandslam. This is a free show of guys doing this on top of their regular day jobs. Things fluctuate from day to day. I watch John Stewart all the time, some days the jokes are great, other days they suck. But overall its a great experience, thats what the 404 is to me. I personally did not care for Tom Avery, the guy who went to both polls, that show sucked. But after that one, i got over it and moved on.

Kenly is a friend of the show, not the greatest fill-in but what do you expect. Its not like the 404 has a big ass budget and writers. They prepare a few minutes before the show and then have some fun.

Well, I think a better comparison would be if you watched John Stewart and most of the time it was alright but then occasionally he invites his nephew on the show and keeps stopping to try to explain foreign politics to him.

I can understand that the show can have off days sometimes, but I just think it would be better to leave her off than have her fill in.

Just my personal opinion though.

She is always an outstanding guest. I bet the above comments were left by BOL fan boys who did not even listen to the show, they are just joining Tom in his kill the fun 09 campaign.

The 404 is saying "lay off the disparaging comments" about their friend of the show. I'm sure the boys welcome all the disparaging comments about them directly.
