YouTube TV expands.
There's a lot of competition in the online TV space and Google is stepping it up.
YouTube announced its YouTube TV service is now live in another 14 markets which brings its coverage to half of the United States.
Those new markets include Boston, Las Vegas, San Antonio, and Seattle.
Unlike other online television services, U tube TV includes live local broadcast stations for ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC in every market U tube TV is available.
U tube also now will expand into another 17 markets over the coming weeks but, did not specify exact dates.
Why is this important at all?
The expansion of YouTube TV comes just before fall season premieres and the return of NFL Football.
YouTube TV offers just one plan, $35 per month, gets you live TV, an unlimited cloud DVR which holds recordings for up to nine months and 6 accounts.
There are no apps that access YouTube TV for video streamers like the Apple TV or RoCube Instead you can use the mobile app on your phone or tablet and send video over to your television using airplay or Google cast.
Alternatively you could watch YouTube tv on a computer in a browser.
The channel lineup is under 50 stations right now.
