Wi-Fi features look promising on this Samsung range
Does an oven need wi-fi?
Samsung is making a case for it with its new line of connected appliances.
So this Samsung range is the NE58K985OWG which is an electric slide in model equipped with wi-fi.
So you can control some of its functions remotely.
We've seen connectivity in other brand such as LG, GE and Whirlpool which have apps that will tell you what the oven temperature is, what you set oven timer and let you control the oven remotely Samsung changes the game a little bit by adding cook top notifications, so your app can tell you if your oven cook top is still on.
I've started testing this range, and I find that the app is pretty responsive thus far.
It can be a little tricky to get the oven connected to your wi-fi but once it is.
The app and the oven are both really easy to use.
I've got more testing to do, but we thought you guys might like to see this oven and it's wi-fi capabilities.
