Whirpool and KitchenAid show off connected cooking at CES 2019
Whirlpool brought a ton of tech to CES 2019, and this is the WLABS smart countertop oven.
It costs 799 and they're taking pre-orders now for delivery in spring 2019.
Now the oven can recognize fresh or frozen food.
Put your food in there and it will automatically select from different cooking modes to get it just right.
It also comes with a thermometer to measure your food's temperature, and a nice cutting board on top.
Now, you can view your food in the Whirlpool app.
You can see the times that's left.
You can even have a live look in, and view your food from the camera inside the oven.
Whirlpool also brought along Kitchenaid, and they're displaying, a smart, in-wall oven.
Just like your Kitchenaid mixer, it has powered attachments.
You can choose between a steamer, a grill or a baking stone.
Now the oven ranges between $3000 and $5000.
It also includes a touch screen display to walk you through recipes.
All of Whirlpool and Kitchen Aid's concepts and ovens here are going to integrate with [UNKNOWN], the app that helps you plan recipes, get grocery supplies and walks you through step by step preparation.
They also brought the Whirlpool connected hub wall oven.
Now, this is just a concept, but it's pretty cool.
It includes a 27" display.
It can connect your calendar to suggest recipes based on how much free time you have.
And, there's a step by step on screen guide with augmented reality to help you get your dishes just right.
We look forward to testing out all this kitchen tech when it comes to market later this year.
