Whirlpool connected concepts gives us a look into the future
Kitchen & Household
Hi, guys.
Megan Wollerton for CNET Appliances here at the Whirlpool booth in the Venetian Hotel.
Right now, we're looking at the CoolVox Refrigerator.
It's a concept turned to reality.
It's gonna be available at lows pretty soon and it's Bluetooth-enabled and that means that you can listen to music in your kitchen.
Now we're standing by the Duet Laundry Pair.
These are basically just custom designed laundry units.
Some of these will be available on the market, but for most
part, it's really just a cool concept to look at.
These Whirlpool microwaves were designed by 2 Mexican artists.
It's really just a way to show you that you can incorporate style into your home appliances.
I'm standing in front of the Whirlpool Connected Suite.
This is basically a bunch of appliances that can talk to each other and make for a more connected kitchen experience.
There's a grocery manager, there's an app that you can use to do your laundry.
It's really just about a connected home and a connected living environment.
This is Whirlpool's interactive
cooktop concept.
It's really supposed to be the information hub for the kitchen.
There is a way to browse different ingredients to come up with new recipes.
You can also check the weather and do a bunch of other interesting connected things.
The idea of the connected home has really been a theme for us at CES this year.
We're really excited to see what 2014 will bring.
Thanks for watching.
