What to expect at Apple's September event
Speaker 1: Apple set an event for September 14th. What can you expect? Let's talk about it
Speaker 1: Since it's September, you can bet there will be new iPhones coming at this event. Like every year, there are tons of reports and rumors as to what the new iPhone will be like online P people are calling this the iPhone 13. Yes. 13 can be an unlucky number, but apples had products with that number before like iOS 13 and the a [00:00:30] 13 system on a chip four models are expected. The 13, the 13 mini the 13 pro and the 13 Promax reports say that we will be seeing a revised iPhone with a smaller notch at the top. So you get more screen that screen may finally get a 120 Hertz refresh rate, like many other devices, including Apple's own iPad. Pro camera improvements are a safe bet with rumors saying we will get a video version of portrait mode. That means you can have a nice blurry background in [00:01:00] videos.
Speaker 1: We've got full video on the most exciting iPhone, 13 rumors. I highly suggest giving it a watch. Speaking of watches, the apple watch series seven is also expected at this event for the first time in a while, the watch could get a redesign. Bloomberg says that the device will be a little larger than before. There would be a 41 millimeter model and a 45 millimeter model. The current sizes are 40 and 44 millimeters. The screen would be bigger on the series seven. [00:01:30] We'd be looking at a 1.9 inch screen up from around 1.78 inches. A new lamination process would mean that the screen would be closer to the top most surface. Oh, and at the series seven could look a lot more like the iPhone and iPad pro with flatter sides. A NEK report says that this new version of the watch has a complicated design, which is causing delays in production. Those two products, the iPhone and the apple watch are almost guaranteed to be refreshed [00:02:00] at the September event. Now things get little murky.
Speaker 1: We could be getting new AirPods. The first generation AirPods came out in September, 2016. The second gen was March, 2019. The Pearl was October, 2019 with the max arriving in December of 2020. So as you can see, there's no real timing pattern when it comes to AirPod releases. However, the AirPods three were rumored to be released several times in the past year or so. Maybe we'll see them at the [00:02:30] September 14th event. There have been a lot of images online of what could be the AirPods three. They would look a lot more like the AirPods pro thanks to a shorter stem. They might even get interchangeable Eart tips like the pro however, don't, won't expect more advanced features like active noise cancellation and transparency mode on the regular AirPods. How about a new iPad mini? Yes. The often forgotten device is still around. Reports have said that a new version of the mini could be out this [00:03:00] year. The design would be very similar to the iPad air, smaller bezels, everywhere USBC smart connector, and it could have the same processor as the iPhone 13 in the past. iPad minis have been introduced in Octobers from 2012 to 2014. One is September, 2015 and the latest gen in March, 2019. So maybe it could be announced at this event, but it also seems kind of odd to show off a really big iPhone and a small iPad at the same time.
Speaker 1: Then [00:03:30] there are new max with upgraded chips, also rumored for this year. I would imagine that the Mac updates and maybe a new mini could wait until an October event. Apple has not announced an October event for this year, but it could happen. And let's talk about the absolute long shots. There are a number of other devices. Apple has been reportedly working on for years. I am unsure. We will see any of these products on the 14th, the apple car. This has been rumored and rumored and rumored for several years. I could not see apple on the announcing the [00:04:00] car at the same time as a new iPhone, it would just be bad for apple to have its phone overshadowed by a massive new product, like a car there's also Apple's AR glasses, CNET, char Tippin broke the news that apple was working on a powerful wireless headset for both AR and VR. We've seen apple build up its augmented reality features in its iPhones and iPads over the past few years, I think this is also a long shot for the same reason as the car. And then there's a chance we could see a home pod with the screen. [00:04:30] This would overshadow nothing and could easily be dropped into the September event without anyone batting an eye. What do I wanna see? The apple watch work with Android. That's not gonna happen. I'm Maya's Zachar and I will see you online.
