What T.J. Miller dislikes about 'Silicon Valley' (Hint: it's T.J. Miller)
Hi, I'm TJ Miller, and I'm the star of Yogi Bear 3D.
I played Ranger Jones.
Again, the star of the film.
We try and reflect that there's a lot of optimism, there's a lot of positive things that are happening in Silicon Valley
There's a lot of ideology, at least in the beginning, that we respect and almost venerate, but yeah, we're kinda satirizing how out of proportion their egos are to what they're bringing to the table culturally.
You know what I'm gonna do the strapless if you don't mind.
[INAUDIBLE] > I wear my kimono's like they were my bra's, strapless.
What I dislike about the show?
My performance and my participation in the series and just my general lack.
Of bringing anything to the table.
[SOUND] I mean, [INAUDIBLE] because of my oddly proportioned body, it's sort of a fun house mirror reflection of Silicon Valley itself.
But it's pretty true life, when I come across people that work in tech or know people that work in tech, not only do they interrupt my eating a burrito in the airport
They make sure to tell me, thinking that they're the first person to enlighten me on this, but they say that it is almost too real.
The Technorati, not totally into that.
I don't like the term at all.
I consider myself more of a sex symbol than part of the tech community.
And it's not a sex symbol for human beings necessarily.
What did I learn about tech that I didn't know before I was in the show?
I'd say all of it.
I was unfamiliar with the idea of a personal computing machine in the beginning.
I thought those were a big I thought those were big calculators.
It's like who needs a calculator this size because it's not portable.
And so then later I found out that they, you know, what a computer was and what it does and that you can both find and enjoy pornography with it.
