Well EV's are becoming more palatable to consumers.
We've seen the move from small tiny little micro cars to sedans and now to crossovers.
Now the Kia Niro has been available as a gas and hybrid, but now it looks like they've got a full-fledged electric vehicle on their hands with the E Niro The at least in Europe will have 2 battery options.
One is a 64 kilowatt hour battery, knocking out 201 horsepower and 291 pound feet of torque.
That should be good for an estimated range of about 240 miles.
Now a smaller battery is also in tap, 39 kWh, that's gonna knock your horsepower down to 134 but that torque remains the same You would need a ken eye to discern e-Niro from other Niro models.
Sure the grill is solid and it has a little bit of a a different bumper, but essentially we're looking at the same body say for a few bits of blue trim.
Of course all of your driving aides are also available link keeping assist and full speed adaptive cruise control.
Kia has told us that we should see the e-Niro in States at the end of this year but Word on the street is that demand in Europe is high.
So, that might push that date back just a little bit.
We have no word on pricing.
But, the regular [INAUDIBLE] $28000.
So, my guess is that we'll see it in the [INAUDIBLE].
